EST-11 Friction rod, compound (Half-Ebonite & Half Brass)

This compound rod is made of half-ebonite and half-brass.

Length= 30 cm approximately.

Diameter=12 mm.

They are useful in electrostatics experiments and help students to understand about the ‘Law of Conservation of Electric Charges’ which states that the sum of the total electrons in any system is a constant quantity. However, whenever a suitable combination of bodies are rubbed together, the electrons from one body may be transferred to the other body.
